WHO WE ARE

According to the U.S. census, 26.5 percent of the Dallas population and 17 percent of the total metroplex are foreign-born. Of the North Texans, 44 percent are new Americans and this number is growing every year! Even though there are 239 languages spoken in DFW, it is estimated that up to 70,000 people in the area speak Russian. Ukrainians, Belarusians, Moldavians, Russians, Uzbeks, Kyrgyz, Russian Jews and others are all included in this population.

The Russian-speaking population in DFW is continuously growing. The Eurasian Association of DFW preserves the good and bridges the gap between the Russian speaking cultures and the multicultural community of DFW.

Eurasian Association of DFW (EADFW) is incorporated as a nonprofit organization. Our mission is to promote and build appreciation of the Russian, Eastern European, and Central Asian cultures in the DFW area through cultural events and education.
