OUR HISTORY

PRE-ORGANIZATION HISTORY

Over the last 20 years, many organizations have successfully arranged events to sustain the Slavic cultures presence in DFW.

In 2012, several organizations (Russian School in Allen/Arlington - “Russian4Children”, Allen Montessori Academy, River of Life – Dallas Church, Allies Youth Development, Sunshine International Learning Center, and Star Mountain Art) have united in the projects.

Among them are important events such as Saint George Ribbon (WWII Victory Day, May 9th), International Children’s Day (June 1st), International Family Picnic “More Amore” (Labor Day), and “I Am Thankful for…” (Thanksgiving). Since 1996, Tatiana Zimakova with the Russian-American Club at SMU she has been organizing “The Russian Winter Festival”.

There were many other organizations and businesses creating and hosting events to promote Eurasian cultures in the community.

The necessity for the collaboration of businesses and community arose. It led to the idea of the Eurasian Association of DFW.
